Olorin
Dual 4 ohm coils, 1050 watts Pmax, and Fs of 37 Hz leads me to believe this is better suited for cars.

DrWho
Well modelling both drivers in the same sealed enclosures, a single MKIII performs 3dB better than a single DVC, but totally the same slope. However, two DVC's perform slightly better than a single MKIII in the same enclosure. But since they both cost about the same, it makes more sense to stick with the MKIII. The only real advantage to the DVC is that it has a flatter response above 80Hz (The MKIII has a gentle 3dB/slope decline above 80Hz). Also, the DVC can be used in a cabinet half the size of the MKIII. As others have already mentioned, the advantages of the DVC make it better suited for car audio. Heck, the suggest cabinet constructions are taking into account the cabin gain in the car (aka, the suggest cabinets would suck in a normal HT environment).
