Kingmax (superram) also makes some very descent ram for the price. Not as well known in the states, but are very well known in Asia. They are gettig more known here as well for the stability at a descent price. I bought a gig for my desktop. Mine came in red. I guess you would only benefit if you have a clear side case. Which I did at the time. Here is some other value ram

Corsair value select

OCZ Premiere value

PNY optima

Mushkin value

GeIL value ( pretty cool blue if you have a clear side)

All pretty descent deals. You also may want to check if your motherboard is capable of certain brands. I heard of some compadability issues with certain brands. Not sure if they didn't know what they were doing, or what. Just a thought.

Keep an eye out for the office supply stores to have a sale on cheap ram. My Gateway notebook came from the factory with 512k. For 30 bucks a stick, Office Max had Kingston 512 sticks onsale. I bought 2. A full Gig of extra ram for just over 60 bucks...that's really hard to beat.

I would think you could get a lot of ram for 200 bucks...just be patient.

People he needs SODIMM notebook memoty sticks not classic and common to all DDR or DDR2.For 100% compatible SODIMM modules Kingston is the best.Their choice covers all laptops.

Look on Kingston.com ,there is a search engine, you go by brand ,them by notebook model number, then they show you the possible memory configs and you get the price.

Once you get the memory model Kingston part number...enter into GOOGLE and do a search...you will find great prices fast. [:D]
