Drew in the desert
Anyone watch Monday Night Football last night and notice something strange about the audio? My reciever picked up the Dolby Digital signal and my on screen display showed "3/2/1" as if all 5 channels were active, but there was only sound coming through the mains. I switched to another channel HD channel and I was receiving the DD signal just fine, only ABC was had the problem. There must be some issue with ABC itself or my local provider. BTW, I have Cox digital cable in Phoenix. Anyone else notice this?
colterphoto1
No, but whoever did the mix for the Indy500 this year sure mucked it up real good. They had the in car camera noise cranked so much that you couldn't hear the center channel announcer in ANY mode. These broadcasters are going to have to get the hang of this REAL QUICK or HDTV will die! Michael
LarryC
Are they digitizing the sound and could that have had anything to do with it? That will make it all yucky it seems to me. I thought that last year's Super Bowl had a very funny-looking picture and that maybe they had converted that into digital as well.
ben.
Larry, you'll have to stop using those technical terms!
LarryC
Digitalization? Is that better?
