2.1 or ifi

I own a pro media 2.1 but I am now considering the ifi, any

suggestions? I do not own an ipod and I do not plan to purchase one, Is

there a noticieable difference between the 2.1 pro media and the ifi?

The iFi has Reference speakers RSX-3, and the subwoofer 8in creates more bass over the promedia 2.1, 6.5in subwoofer. The iFi has greater sound quality then the promedia 2.1 in my opinion. Its like Superior 2.1 speakers. []

Without question you will love the iFi over the Promedia 2.1. But be advised that the pod volume

control works for the ipod dock and 3.5 mm stereo input on the pod

only. The line-in (for a computer) on the subwoofer you control with

your computer volume instead.

Not true.

The volume knob on the dock controls volume all sources including the sound coming from the computer LINE IN connection on the amp panel. The computer software volume control affects the relative balance of sound coming from computer and the iPod (or AUX IN).
