Northerly Island is the old Meigs Field that used to be a small airport right on the lake until Mayor Daley tore it up in the middle of the night. The venue is fantastic and it was a great place to see him on a perfect summer night. If I had known this was what the Island was going to be used for, I would have liked for the Mayor to tear it up sooner.[] I hear it is temporty though. Don't know what the long term plans are.
