trachselbj
Help. I need sound! I've sold my 4.1's and need to know if the Synery or Quintet microsystems will connect to my computer, Soundblaster 5.1 Platinum, as 5.1's would. I'm ready to go all the way for the noise. Thanks. Manuel Delaflor
you will need a 5.1 amplfier to go this way.
TheEAR
Then you should buy the complete 5 piece Quintet system then add a KSW12 sub(works great with Quintets)and get a reciever(H/K,Yamaha,Denon or Marantz). And voila you best any ProMedia with ease, better sound quality and can play loud with little stress. TheEAR(s) Now theears

TheEAR
Seb about the "THREE TIMES AS MUCH" Not so The ProMedia 5.1 goes for 400USD or 650CAN The Quintet set with the KSW12 gos for 650USD or 1000CAN And a reciever can be had for 250USD or 400CAN Total under 900USD or 1400CAN VS 400USD or 650CAN A bit over the double if you shop well(even less!). Very good deals can be had on Klipsch Quintets and KSW12. TheEAR(s) Now theears
oogins
I spent about $900 CAN on my system, that's less than double. But then again, I don't have a KSW-12. I'm going to be making some upgrades to my system with in the next couple months. The new Marantz will be about $1200 and the new sub will be about $800-$1100. After this, then it will be more than 4 times as much. ------------------ -Paul AMD T-Bird 900 Asus A7V Micron 256 MB PC-133 IBM 30 GB 7200 rpm ATA 100 Pioneer DVD-105 Slot-Load (16X/40X) 3Dfx Voodoo5 5500 AGP NEC MultiSync M700 17" (soon to be Sony F520 21") SB Live!
