theryugobuddy
Womanthing I hope you are feeling better. I've had the cough, flu like thing for 2 weeks now. I don't know what it is. theryugobuddy if auburn plays like your clue, they are going to loose big time. reindeer that aren't reindeer (elk, moose) jailbreak or boys are back in town (did thin lizzy have any other hits) and now they are gay, not that theres anything wrong with that. more lyric's danny i missed this thread keep it going people. LOL Flash-- Reindeer are called Caribou on National Geographic--- and, no, not as if there's anything wrong with that-- I was justified when I was five Raising cane, I spit in your eye Times are changing, now the poor get fat But the fever's gonna catch you when the **** gets back Eat meat on Friday that's alright Even like steak on a Saturday night I can **** the best at your social do's I get high in the evening sniffing pots of glue
dbflash
ok now we are getting somewhere. the caribou brought most of it together, everything but the darn song. i think elton john had an album called caribou. so right now i'm going with an elton john song. it's not "saturday night" (i hope) because i heard that yesterday driving into work. oh wait it can't be because "saturday night" was off of "goodbye yellow brick road", along with another favorite of mine "all the young girls love alice" i'll think about it on the way home. it is so funny because i'll hear a song on the radio now and go that would be a good one for the thread. i was channel surfing and sugar sugar by the archies was on a station and i thought i'd post that, but then i was thinking do i really want to know someone who knows the words to that song. later, danny oh yea what has thin lizzy got to do with this song. Flash---you're killing me-- Elton's answer to "The Boys are Back In Town" might be "The B*tch is Back" ---yes!!?? Maybe a stretch but .... I think last week I didn't post a Kiss song, but then went ahead and posted it -- I don't listen to them at all now, but they were one of my faves back in the day -- Kiss Alive was amazing stuff-I even went to see them because of that album with my prom date-- You guessed EJ, so you are up---whatcha got for us?? theryugobuddy
I looked it up-- Bonnie Raitt covered this John Prine song-"Angel from Montgomery"-in fact I thnk they dueted it some time--its on a soundtrack to a movie that John Mellencamp starred in-- great stuff How about this: Like a rubber-neck giraffe you look into my past well maybe you're just to blind to - see I'm up in the spotlight ohh does it feel right ohh the altitude seems to get to me
theryugobuddy
she did it, but a guy wrote it and sang it first. capitol of alabama fitting where you're from! Is Bluff Park outside of B;ham off Shades Crest Road on the way to Bessemer? I'm from Mountain Brook, and I've repeled off those cliffs off there-- So you're from Bo Bice Country? dbflash
thats right. i live right off shades crest. if you repelled off the cliffs by an old gas station (across the street from bluff park hardware) the gas station has been converted into a little restaurant. i live a couple blocks from the cliffs. i almost bought a house on the cliffs, but i have a couple of dogs and there is no backyard. one game of fetch the stick on i would have to get new dogs. do you ever get back to alabama? my sister went to auburn in the 80's, even though we were from t-town. now i have to get back to your latest song. i can think of at least 3 songs with: too blind to see. danny
theryugobuddy
lil' more--- I'm up on a tightwire One side's ice and one is fire It's a circus game with you and me Flash--I haven't been up this year, but I usually get up to the ham once a year during the summer. My parents still live in Mountain Brook. My dad just retired from managing country clubs-he ran Hoover, Vestavia, MBST, and the downtown club for over 30 years there-- I graduated from AU in '82-- BIG game tomorrow!! dbflash
call me next time you come into town. big came is right. except this year i don't really care who wins. i just hope it is a good game. as long as alabama beat tennesse this year thats all i cared about. and who would have though south carolina (should have won the ga game) would have had a season like they have had. i like sec football. auburn got ripped last year. how can you have a perfect season and not play in the big dance. but usc can beat a couple pro teams i think. the west coast teams are good, but they give up alot of points. sec games are usually low scoring. last week both al/lsu, auburn/ga and south carolina/fl games were great. i am going to get all my running around done this morning and it will be all football today. ok back to the song. up in the spot light is sticking out like a sore thumb so iwas going with that lyric over and over. now with tightwire, i have to go with: leon russell tightrope. i can't prove it because i only have one leon russell cd which is "leon live" which doesn't have the song on it to check. it does have one of my favorite though "jumping jack flash/youngblood meddley" on it. if i am right and we are talking leon stuff check out herbie hancock "possibilities". christina aguilera does "a song for you". let me know if i'm close. danny

You don'ty I'm going camping with my kids ,and there just so happens to be an Alabama fan going to with his boy--we're planning on drinkin' Jack and watching Auburn romp--he thinks that from T-town will romp--we'll see-- You're up-- Watcha got for us?
