theryugobuddy
Hi Groggy-- This song ever been on classic rock radio? I googled the lyrics and couldn't find anything--so I'm not guessing, but please remember this thread is a test of your memory of songs on classic rock radio--more a test of the memory than of vastness of CD collections! Is it more obscure than Oingo Boingo? Maybe we just need a few more hints??
grog
Sure... had a lot of radio play in it's day. It is one CD that I do play a good deal even today. Three more hints. Steve Winwood is the singer. The group is Traffic. Oh.. The song title includes the word 'heaven' in it. Greg

I used to have Barleycorn and Low Spark on LP--now just the remastered compilation greatest CD--hippy music with consistently wonderful melodies-- never got into Oingo Boingo, despite my roommate's trying--
theryugobuddy
But, this band was a contemporary of OB-- "sweet" song-- I know a guy who's tough but sweet He's so fine, he can't be beat He's got everything that I desire Sets the summer sun on fire
grog
A great 80's classic. Bow Wow Wow - I Want Candy She had one hell of a haircut in the video. Great drums. This should be an easy one: She's a very kinky girl The kind you don't take home to mother She will never let your spirits down Once you get her off the street She likes the boys in the band She says that I'm her all-time favorite When I make my move to her room it's the right time She's never hard to please Greg But, this band was a contemporary of OB-- "sweet" song-- I know a guy who's tough but sweet He's so fine, he can't be beat He's got everything that I desire Sets the summer sun on fire
