zenbren
I heard it on radio lots back in the days of progressive rock...it was Carmelita, and I have a copy by Linda Ronstadt, but was made fairly popular (in TX) by some guy, who I can't remember the name...I will withdraw it and give an easier one: "When are you gonna come down? When are you going to land?

theryugobuddy
Goodbye Yellow Brick Road - EJ "I didn't sign up to you" How about this: Aurora borealis The icy sky at night Paddles cut the water In a long and hurried flight From the white man to the fields of green And the homeland weve never seen. They killed us in our tepee And they cut our women down They might have left some babies Cryin on the ground

theryugobuddy
I guessed this correctly then checked it--"now you don't talk so proud" Zenbren--you've gotta hear this "Like Rolling Stone" in a computer generated voice: http://panavox.panaserve.net/index.php?q=module:article,action:view,id:545 Anyway, how about this: She sits alone by a lamppost Trying to find a thought thats escaped her mind She says dads the one I love the most But stipes not far behind She never lets me in Only tell me wheres shes been When shes had too much to drink I say that I dont care I just run my hands Through her dark hair and then I pray to god You gotta help me fly away
theryugobuddy
Hint---huge band that faded into Carolina oblivion. Known to cry about the Dolphins --
theryugobuddy
Either nobody is looking or this thread is boring everyone or everyone forgot the video with this band playing golf and hanging out with Dan Marino-- They put out this great debut album, which probably initally sold well because of their quirky name, and then stayed on the charts because of the four or five radio friendly hits that were played ad nauseum. Each release after went unnoticed probably due to overkill of that first big album-- I'll bet half of you guys have this CD in your collection, but haven't played it in 5 years--
Speedball
It's odd around here sometimes.......if you want people to chime in then make a post about an album, turntable, tubes, or some electronic technical jargon only an electronics guru would understand. ............[*-)] Mmmmmmmmmmm.......no idea. theryugobuddy
hey Speedy-- I wouldn't say odd -- you get a bunch of guys( and a few gals ) obsessed with sound who have more interest in music than just the latest trend, or dissatisfied with the best receiver that Best Buy can offer, or need a signal curve to tell them if the sound is clean or not, or got a little too involved in their electronics classes-- and they can't talk to anyone about it because everyone they know likes Britney on their Bose system--well, then you got a damn good market for a Klipsch forum!! Anyway, its "Let Her Cry" by Hootie and the Blowfish. How about this: There's a lady who's sure That all that glitters is gold...
