crazytubepower
Is there anything were I can swith two amps on the same set of speakers. Amps will not be on during switch of course, I am imagining a box, where that has two pairs of speakers imputs and one set of outputs with a swich, is there something that will work, plus not degrade of distort the intended signal? crazytubepower
yes sir, it is for switching those two amps. Mostly becasue I like to listen in the morning and for backround music, and I don't want to fire up the tubes. Thanks for the link
Shade
I'll second the Niles DPS-1. I use one to switch between my Scott 299a & the front channels of my B&K 200.7.
DrWho
Just curious....why aren't you conducting the split at line level?
cjgeraci
I third the Niles. I use two of them. Fantastic devices. Carl.
laurenc319
hi, How much do they cost ? Larry
cjgeraci
Most places have them for about 80-90 bucks. For example: http://www.jr.com/JRProductPage.process?Product=23405 Simple yet effective. I use them so I can run either tubes or solid state amps on my front and rear speakers (Belles and Valencias). I have not noticed a loss in sound quality by running the device. You run a set of speaker wire from the first amp to the Niles and another set of speaker wire from the second amp to the Niles, and a final set of speaker wire from the Niles to the two speakers. There is a resistor inside the Niles that prevents back flow. To be safe, I typically only have one of the amps on at a time. Carl.
