Coytee
Was just wondering In the heyday of Heritage or other lines that were built in Hope... how did they decide what to make on a given day? What I mean is, is the place large enough where they had a Khorn assembly line, LaScala assembly line, Belle, Heresy.....and they all pumped out units on a daily basis Or perhaps, did they build Khorns for a week & get that out of the way for while, then move to next speaker for week to get that inventory up before moving onto the next ? Yes I'm at work, bored (stuck sitting here for an hour while I wait for someone) and my mind is wondering
tofu
well, there were many variations and finishes of the khorn. the la scala also had an industrial version. and the belle probably had a few different finishes. i'm going to assume they did it by custom order and began making them after they compiled a list of what their clients wanted. toomanyspeakers
I am not sure but I have ordered a new pair of Khorns and it is taking about 5 weeks to get them.
j-malotky
A few years back, Andy posted about the build teams from his first hand work experiance at Klipsch. It seems that people specialized on a particular speaker and work as a team building that line. As there skills progressed, they would be cross trained on other speakers.
