Jay481985
me added... should we use our forum names or so?
Thumpelstiltskin
Yes, we should use our forum names. I had signed up for the other forum as "Lucky1", so that's why mine isn't under "Thumpelstiltskin". I'll either change it on the map, or change my name here. Rick. Thumpelstiltskin
All right! We've already got seven members on the map, reaching from coast-to-coast. We also have our first international member, MaxG, representing Athens, Greece. Rick.

colterphoto1
Another hint, there are a lot of lurkers here fellas. You might consider just using a point in your city, NOT YOUR REAL ADDRESS, as a security measure. Just a thought. For instance, I just signed up , but I really don't live in Broad Ripple Park, just nearby.... Michael
Thumpelstiltskin
You'll only have to put your zip code. I don't see any reason to worry about that. Rick.
DrWho
lol, poor ol Max all alone in Europe [] This thing is mega cool...is it free?
DrWho
woh, check out the satellite images! I can see my house [H] (btw, I just entered my zip code so it doesn't default to my actual location)
Thumpelstiltskin
lol, poor ol Max all alone in Europe [] This thing is mega cool...is it free? Yes it's free, and really easy to set up with just a user name and password. There are some options available that I've not had time to fool with, but I plan to check them out later. Does anyone have any suggestions on making this thing better? Rick.

kev313
Well there are, I don't know, thousands of houses in my zip. Choosing the wrong one could be VERY dangerous.
maxg
OK - updated with a much better assessment of my location + or - about 5 meters. I guess the Google-Earth maps / sat pics are the source for this thing - kinda funny that they have sat pics of Greece at the detailed level (in Athens anyway) but not maps - makes pin-pointing your house trickier. Be interesting to see how long I will be the only member in Europe too.
customsteve01
Thump, That is just too cool. I really think everyone should sign up. A really neat way to see who lives near you. Steve
