MarkBK
Do a Google search for online sources for Canare Star Quad 4S11 speaker cables (11 AWG twisted pair of four 14 AWG OFC conductors). This stuff is dirt cheap and an excellent performer IMO.I agree with jt1stcav. Canare is great stuff - can also find several offers on ebay offering Canare S411 quad cable. Corvette6769
Paul W. Klipsch said to use 16 gauge zip cord (lamp cord) and that is good enough for me. You may need to gauge up if you are running more than 50 feet or into less than 8 ohms See the chart I posted at http://forums.klipsch.com/forums/544670/ShowPost.aspx
TommyK
Exotic speaker wire is a marketing triumph. I take my hat off the boys at Monster that started this trend 20 odd years ago. Impressive. Who would have thunk that so many would believe that the basic laws of physics would not apply to 6 feet of stranded copper? Peace, TommyK
bvkirby
Christopher, Make your wife happy and save your money. You can use 14 gauge or splurge for 12 guage wire and that should be fine. If you want to improve the sound send a PM to DEANG on this forum and ask him about updating the crossovers for these speakers. The money spent on updated crossovers will be money well spent.
