Bill H.
I may have put the horse before the cart . I have a 32" HDTV. Can I place my center speakeron top? RC 35. 7.9" (20.1cm) x 23.5" (59.7cm) x 10.9" (27.7cm) The stand I purchased doesn't have room below to place my speaker.
Petrol
I would say, "sure... depending on the depth measurement of the top of the TV set" you seem to have found the fatal flaw in far to many stands... no room for a 'real' center... the reason that after looking at about 50 stands in person and well over 1,000 PICs on the web, I decided to build my own. DIY's are always more fun. More satisfaction in the end. Go to my profile and hit the link on my entertainment center I built, ...w/ a LaScala center channel !! colterphoto1
I like my center below, aimed slightly up. Why did you buy the stand you did Bill? Can you exchange it for one that'll house your speaker? Michael PS that's a nice set!
Bill H.
Michael, I was just focusing on the Cost.........duh! It is a Gusdorf (some assembly required) unit. I will just chaulk this up to experience, and use it , Later, in another room....

dougdrake
BillH - Not sure if this will work, but "they" used to sell a VCR shelf that would attach to the top of your TV and extend over the back, with 2 adjustable legs that would support the back of the shelf on the back casing of you TV, with little feet on the legs. I bought mine at an "Organized Living" store or similar, and used it for a VCR, but it might work for your speaker (with some overhang of the speaker). Not sure if they are still sold... Cal Blacksmith
Sure you can put it on top. Just be sure it won't mess with the CRT you have. I have used a Heresy on top of a CRT set before and there was some slight interference with the tube. I made a stand from off the shelf hardware in a big box store to bridge over the back of the TV set and set the center on top of that.
