fanbrain
Update: I've thought about all this for a couple months now. I want to buy the SVS 16-46 PC- Plus, but I don't want to spend that much right now. The sub-12 has been recommended with a price of around $450. I've seen a few RW-12's on ebay for around the same price (minus shipping). How does the RW-12 compare to the sub-12? I think I want to buy the RW-12. Any thoughts? DrWho
flip a coin [] Actually, I'd expect the RW-12 to have less non-linear behavior...something that can't really be quantified and put into a spec.
blake_mooney
Well the best sub I personally have heard in this range is the Velodyne DPS-12. http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Velodyne-12-Subwoofer-DPS-12-/sem/rpsm/oid/97737/catOid/-12950/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do
Yoeddy
Sub-12...you won't regret it. I bought mine for $450 at BB and it replaced my SW12II. Never regretted it for a second.
fanbrain
I fired off an email to SVS the other day with floor plans and listening habits. I've decided I'll like a 16-46 PCi or PC+ better than anything else I've seen. It is more than the sub-12 etc, but the SVS will be better for my listening habits. Now I just have to decide how long I can wait to buy one. Buy now, get the PCi ; buy later, get the PC+. Sigh...
