Well after RF-7, RF-83, and Cornwall hassled. I believe I am going rf-83 way. Thanks again to GaryMD, Tuned4Life, etc etc

Well Tuned4Life made me realize that the cornwalls would not fit in my

car cause their big s.o.b.s and I waited and waited and realized after

making a mock in pizza boxes that they are way way too big

The RF-7, still 1600 found one pair but their 1600 and will hold to

that only. Also I tried the ebay game with the RF-7 black... look at

the bid history, ok I will not go over 2/3 the cost of the rf-7 I can

get at retail with full warantee..... I lost and the RSW-15 too. I wish

I won both to have a very good 2.1 setup for less then 2000......

anyway I lost

The RF-83 DrWho made me realize that the cone surface per volume of the

enclosure is alot higher then the rf-7 its like 61 cubic inches per

surface area of cones. the RF-7 and RF-5 are 51 cubic inches

Also I was offered at JandR the lovely price of 1600 a pair. So I can

get a new rf-83 for 1600 or the same price the other place is offering

me for the rf-7! I called today and they said they expect them in next

week. Also the guy at the other store told me that JandR must be crazy

to give me that price and he even said shoot I might just go there and

pick me up a pair cause even with his discount its not that cheap?

will do but I am alittle annoyed cause there like will be in next week

which was last week and they said they expect them two weeks from now.

Yet an authorized dealer already has them and posted pics and a short

review.

Also I heard the RF-7 a few many times to kinda do a evaluation though

I never owned them enough to say I can accurately compare.

no no we had a couple long phone calls and mutually decided that the

cornwalls will not fit in the car and it is a long long drive to

warsaw. 330 miles or so.

And for now I think I will be driving them with the Harmon Kardon 3480

stereo reciever Until I have enough for pre pro. Thinking rotel, I

might buy a refurbished denon 3805 for 550 dollars.

If your that worried about shipping damage, than do like my Uncle did when he bought his RF-7's, rent a small U-Haul truck, pick up and bring'em home, he had to get his from a dealer out of state because no local dealer had them in stock. If you do ship, put insurance on it so if it does get damage, you won't have to pay for it. There are other really good shipping companies that take much better care than UPS (United Punching Service).
