thebes
Don't know what a Juke Joint is, google it, then drop on buy and slide something into the changer. Hey it's the weekend let's go a little "uptempo". Been paying to much attention to my system, not enough time groovin on the tunes. So let's get down, cue up some backbeat, feel that heat, share that beat and bust on out. The Twins like the idea. They've broken out the go-go outfits, dusted off the disco ball, waxed down the El Dorado andt right now the're freshing up their Boom Box carrying skills. Of course everyone of these things is bound to get me in real trouble if we have to head out and hit a real Jook Joint (they know I know where most of the good ones are). So let's keep Thebes at home and out of trouble (got a real big thing for the women I meet at a Juke Joint-bad, all bad, oh, but that that's a good thing). Cue it up for the gals will you? Right now I got (suprise) I got Quincy Jones's Jook Joint on the changer. Only two songs to go so help me out.
D-MAN
Always thought it was "JUKE" joint as in having a JUKE-BOX in it! Never seen it spelled "jook" which, of course, rhymes with the word "kook". Also the word "puke" could suffice in a poetic rhyming manner (if used properly of course). In theory, the connection COULD be made, but I won't go there![] DM
Myhamish
OK, Mr. Thebes - what's this about waxing the twins? Anyhow, throw a couple US quarters in (Canadian ones don't work) for Grand Funk 'I'm your Captain' and Foghat 'Slowride' Hamish
