BobbyT
Anybody using THX post processing. I recently used THX music mode with some multichannel SACDs and DVDAs and had great results. I was wondering if I could expect the same results with DVD movies. I would like to hear other people's experiences.
fletcherkane
My Pioneer has THX post processing, and I use it all the time for movies. When I put in a movie, DD or DTS, the reciever is set to default to THX Cinema mode. The dialougue especially cleans up.
Zen Traveler
I use mine for everything except DTS-ES material and DVD-A/SACD audio. The first I use the Denon's DTS-ES setting and the latter I use the 5 analog cables and let the Denon DVD-3910 do the decoding. []
MrMcGoo
THX post processing is good to have for many reasons. Some movies may be too bright on Klipsch horns, so THX can make a poor sound track easier to listen to with less fatigue. In my view it is better to have options than not. THX post processing is less important than it used to be, but it still has uses. I also like the engineering evaluation process that fixes bugs in a very complex piece of equipment. BobbyT
I have Pioneer 59avi connected by ilink so I can send SACD/DVDA digitally and apply THX music or any other processing to the signal.
