filmboydoug
While perusing the net looking at big buck high end systems, I notice some folks use a cone speaker with a wood horn instead of a compression driver. (I am talking mid-range here.) Can't say that i've seen a midrange cone driver with a horn here. What do you all think of using a cone driver for mids instead of a compression driver and why or why not?

audiocvk
Some believe by using cone/horn, you get the projection close to the compression driver but with the richer/warmer midrange of a cone.
