Guest " "
Look at all those hands on the 60th Anniversary K-horn. I am disappointed. I like the looks of the 50th aniversity edition better. Is that black trim on the bottom paint of the 60th aniversity model , or some type of base board trim?
wrench_peddler
I think it is painted trim. The speaker is jaw-dropping fine. Piano gloss top. The wood on the front is awesome. A diamond? dotting the i in Klipsch on the logo on the bottom front. First class all the way. The back of the speaker is just as finished and breath taking as the front. The 60th is more old school looking than the 50th but beauty is as much in the eye of the beholder as a favorite sound is to the ear of the listener. My "in person eye" liked the 60th and my ear like the Heresy for most improved and the Cornwall 3 for favorite sound overall of the regular production. I have now heard a Jubilee of sorts and think I will never forget that sound. Sort of like the pair of Klipsch I heard in the band room at La. Tech in the mid 70's that burned into my brain, "I gotta get me some of those!". Maybe it won't take me 30 plus years to quinch this thirst. The Jubilee was impressive. pmsummer
The 60th is just drop-dead gorgeous (more so than the 50th, IMHO). The Piano Black, the Lacewood, the real DIAMOND in the logo (a chip from the Hope Diamond, you think? ...or from the Arkansas Diamond Field?), the reduced gap between the top and the bottom all add up to a truly beautiful piece. rcarlton
The trim is piano black like the top. Trey thought the logo and diamond should be higher, not near the floor. He felt if he bought his wife a diamond, she should wear it where it can be seen, not on her feet. I agree. It took 213 posts to get a little green box to be in the top 500.
