3dzapper Posted June 25, 2006 Share Posted June 25, 2006 Tonight I had the opportunity to try on a tux (jacket only) custom made for Dexter Gordon for the Oscar cerimonies in which he was a nominee. It is black with sequined patterns on the lower front, back and sleeves.Quite stunning. It would seem that Dexter was a big man at least my hieght. Just a bit smaller than me in the chest and across the back and about the same in the waist. The tux was purchased a year and a half ago by a forum member at an auction in New York. Hopefully, he will post some pictures of it along with some original scoring with notes by another famous saxist from the same auction. We then retreated to the listening room for some tunes served up on a beautiful sounding Mac Cd player, Scott 299C and Khorns. A great evening!
