rcarlton
Bob, Glad you took a photo of the corners. I had never seen work like that before. Unreal detail. I assume these were the Cornscala's at the farmhouse?
colterphoto1
That's an incredible amount of surface area for glue, and maintains the mitre on the outer portion for working with hardwood veneered ply. Amazing! Was this on a shaper machine or router table? Michael
BEC
Ron, Yes, that is from the Cornscala II cabs we put together in Hope. I had not gotten around to noticing the detail in the corners until today. Chris Munson does good work. Bob Crites

popbumper
Dean: Color me "overqualified"...but you still have the RF-7 solution []. The main pieces are cut by CNC, then the edges are shaped on special tables with cutting heads that route the intricate mitres. These mitres interlock well, and as Colter pointed out, give LOTS of surface area for the glue to adhere to. Interestingly, I have tried BREAKING these joints before - and they NEVER split at the interface seams, always away from them. Glad you liked the cabs, Bob, it sure was fun assembling them onsite. Now if I can just get ahold of Jubilee plans! Chris
