tdsteve2000
Hey all Im wondering if any of you have opinions on using towers as surrounds vs using the surrounds desinged to match with your mains?? I recently got a pair of RF-35s and RF-15s, and I am currently trying to sell the RF-15s....however, I am toying with the possibility of keeping the RF-15s as surrounds instead of buying a pair of RS-35s to match my mains. The big problem Im having is the size of the RF-15s...My room 14 x 20 with cathedral ceiling (14x14 main listening area), but I dont know if I want surrounds that big (about 37" tall)...I think the smaller RS-35s would look better as well as probably sound better since they are the matching surrounds for my mains. Anyone have any experience with trying something this, or more specifically, would the 15's be worthy to use as surrounds with my RF-35 mains???? Ive got an RC-35 center on the way (currently using my old SC-1 center) powered by a Denon 1603 AV receiver (will be upgrading receiver later this year). Any input is appreciated. Heres the specs for both speakers: RF-35 specs RF-15 specs

Zen Traveler
Welcome to the forum tdsteve2000. I use RF-3's (tower) for surrounds with RF-7 mains and prefer them over the RS-7's (WDST) by a considerable margin. I raised the RF-3's to the same height as the RF-7's so the tweeters would be at the same height. []
SilverSport
I know their Heritage but I also prefer my Heresy Surrounds (along with Heresy Mains) over the KSF-S5 WDSTs...good luck. Bill
