bongo4
I get this hissing noise from my RC-7. Only on CBS'S HD broadcasts live football games. It's the only channel that does this. It did it last year as well. Any ideas would be helpful. It's driving me nuts. =)
Cal Blacksmith
My guess would be that if it only happens on one channel, the problem is in that channel, not your gear. [:|]
damonrpayne
I had an issue once where it was the preprocessor. I had a loud hiss in one channel and it would appear in that channel no matter what speaker I hooked up there.
Cal Blacksmith
I read the question to mean that "channel" refered to a TV STATION not a speaker channel. I could be wrong though[:^)]
CECAA850
I took it as a problem with the station also. is it possible to set up your receiver to think that there isn't a center speaker when using that input? Or possibly turning it off electronically when tuned to that channel?
bongo4
Yes, it's only on cbs, during live broadcasts. Any sporting event. The Gators are on there alot and it's going to drive me crazy. When I turn the center off, the noise is gone. If I hook up another speaker to the center, it's there. So, next saturday, let me know if you get this noise during a hd broadcast of a football game.
