eaglesfan723
Hello all, I am a new member here. I owned a pair of Klipsch Cornwalls in the mid 1980's and like a dumby sold them. After all these years I have come back to the best speakers I think are on the market, Klipsch. I am just trying to get some Ideas of what kind of speakers I should buy. I have a Pioneer Elite M-90 and M-72 to power them. I know my M-90 handled them well in the 80's but now after all these years out of the market and with all the different models to choose from now I am lost. So I am looking for some opinions as to what kind of speakers I should go for. I was real pleased with the Cornwalls but always wondered how the Klipschorns would sound? Now I read all the buzz about the RF-7's and I would like some feedback from the people who own any of these. I am a US Army soldier in Afghanistan and these speakers will be a present to myself upon return. I will keep what ever I buy for the rest of my life so let me hear from everyone. I want to purchase a minimum of four speakers, front and rear. My system: M-90, M-72, C-90, PDM-900, DV-38A, CT-91, F-91, SP-91, PL-707 all Pioneer Elite except the turntable. Current Speakers: Bose Jewel cubes / w one sub (not pleased).
boomac
If you will have room, buy 4 Cornwalls. If not, Forte IIs. If space will be limited, get 4 Herseys. BTW - thanks for doin' what you do!
jcmusic
BTW - thanks for doin' what you do! I am not familier with you setup, but almost any of the Klipsch in the line would most likely be a good match. Jay
WPM
Hoorah! Welcome aboard. And God bless you. (I'm Ret. Air Force, myself). I agree with Boomac. You already know you like the Cornwalls, so stick with them. a pair of Cornies up front and Heresy's in the rear would make a KILLER surround system. You really can't go wrong with any of the Klipsch speakers. It's just a matter of suiting your budget and room requirements. God speed your tour of duty. klipschaholik
For what your doing you deserve a free pair courtesy of Klipsch, of course. But if your going to buy don't forget to consider the new La Scalas if Khorns exceed your budget; and they aren't corner sensative like the Khorn is.
