Cal Blacksmith
Michael, thanks for sending that cart to me. First though, do you think you could have used a bigger box? After all, it was only half a cubic foot and we all know how large TT carts are[] It came well packed (in that huge box) and with no damage to box or cart. It will bolt right on to my Grace arm after I remove the Grace 9F cart that is on it now. I need to get some tools to setup the TT though. Any lines on a easy to use protractor and other needed items? That B&O sure is smaller than the 9F and that might look a bit funny but I think it will sing nice enough to overcome that! colterphoto1
It was what I had and you can never have too much packing. I try to make them bulletproof! Glad it arrived and that you can put it to good use. Consider that Eric 6foot8 sent me a $100 rebate which I split equally with Scott, he gave me an AT cart, and I sent you the B&O after you make my PJ custom bracket, I think everyone is very happy with this swaparoo! Hope she sounds sweet! Michael

Hope she sounds sweet! Michael Wow, did I love the B&O carts back in my old TT days! (from another thread) The B&O with the sapphire cantilever was my fave. $350.00 was a lot of $ to pay for a cartridge in the 70's. The rule of thumb (my rule anyway) was to change them out once a year, I did, and they were worth every penny IMHO. Mounted them on an Empire 598, and yes they looked small in the head. As I recall, they were a bear to mount, because they were designed to plug into the end of a B&O arm. It was worth it! tc
pauln
Good luck with the B&O cartridge! I just got another one for my collection (see the 'Accidental..." thread. I love them! Their beauty is that the resonant frequency is way up above the music signal - some are flat beyond 45KHz - what a clear and clean sound!
