DEAM Posted November 25, 2001 Share Posted November 25, 2001 i feel truly fortunate to have obtained one of these SONY CRAP receivers.(joke)i've sold es on and off thru my 10 yrs. 'in the biz', and quality and innovative technology has ranged from fair to POOR, and i feel the 777es is A HORRIBLE EXAMPLE OF ES! v.2.02...IS A SAD EXCUSE FOR dts-es and dd-ex , and i WANT TO enjoy everything i listen to. i'm currently re-modeling my ht room, and will post pix asap. i'm VERY LIKELY to buy a ONKYO INTEGRA 9.1 with A INTEGRA sacd multi-channel audio dvd player. it's very much like the 9000es dvd/sacd but includes NO HISS, and, so far, no 'chroma-bug'problems observed like Sony..looks to me like a winner! its introduction has already lowered the price of the dvd unit. will follow up, AND THANKS TO ALL FOR YOUR HELP! avman. klipsch klf 30's L,R klf c-7 center ksps-6 surrounds rsw-15 sub coming soon strda 777 ES v.2.02 pioneer dvd/cd/r/w/mpeg player sony playstation 2 dishnetwork model 7200 dishplayer w/dd opt.out and digital bitstream recorder panamax max dbs+5 surge protector/power conditioner sharp 32 www.noav.com Peace, Steve Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

As a side note this version's fire hazard protection requires you pee into a cup so it can inspect for drug use...so no good for DEAM. Their DVD playrs are OK but still have thier problems. And they wont play CD-R until lately. I am telling ya Avman I pit my Sony SCD1 SACD player against his player any day.Any day (then we will hear who owns Sesame Street gear and if Sony is what ForrestD. claims it is). The best is when ForrestD. said Dan Dagostino from Krell is hype and has no proven record!Damn look who is talking!Another me too who nobody knows and who has next to nothing.
