xdetroitx
I am wanting to replace the rb-81's in the pic with rf-83's but if i leave them in the same spot that will only leave around three inches between the speaker and the wall. Are the 83's ported in the rear and do they need to be a certain distance away from the wall? Actually I was talking about this stand. xdetroitx
This is the picture I meant to quote about the stand. Is that the Samsung 1080p tv. I bought the same one about a month ago but have only had it hooked up for like two weeks. I am really impressed with it. Any helpful info you can pass on about it? crazyhorse_aba
yes, its a samsung 6188. i've only had it for a couple weeks myself. i did a couple of adjustments that i found at avsforum.com but nothing major. i am waiting to have pro calibrated later this month. xdetroitx
I think mine is the 87. I believe the difference is that your has the Samsung technology and mine has the Texas Instruments. Not sure which one is better but I a completely happy with mine.
colterphoto1
That is a very nice stand. I bet a lot of guys would like to have one like that. Are the plans drawn up where you could upload them?

crazyhorse_aba
i am pleased now more than the day i got the 83's. now that i've had plenty of time to kick back and listen, i have no regrets moving from rb-81's up to the 83's.
JetJockey
Crazy, congrats! The 83's keep growing on you don't they? I love mine too. Chris
crazyhorse_aba
last night i spent 7hrs. listening to music and enjoyed every second of it. one thing i think i want to add is a turntable so i can get the lp's out and see how they sound. at first i wasnt sure about spending that kind of cash for speakers but now i am sure i made the right choice. any suggestions on a turntable around $500 or below? el jopez
Eljopez, LMFAO, anemic???..obviously you have never heard the 83's. One month later response []. I was actually referring to the size of the speaker, its anemic looking compared to the 7's which is a honking big speaker. And yes, I have heard them, to tame to my liking. BTW Crazy, your setup is great! Loving the cheery/copper tone your working with. I wouldn't mind looking at that every day!
