sheltie dave
This one has won me enough $$$ to cover gas expenses for my first roundtrip to Chicago and back in the past week, plus it regards a very public figure... Chip Davies, the mastermind for Mannheim Steamroller/Fresh Aire, started his musical career in a markedly different vein. He had a #1 hit as the writer and lead singer in what group? A. "Disco Inferno," the Trampps B. "Play that Funky Music," Wild Cherry C. "Convoy," C.W. McCall D. "Yummy, Yummy," Ohio Players Answer this afternoon, and enjoy! JBryan
Another interesting piece of trivia is that Mr. Davies actually opened for himself on at least one occasion - I think that's right.
JBryan
Dang! I can't edit anymore.... I think I heard about Chip Davies opening for himself during an interview with Harry Shearer (of Saturday Night Live, Spinal Tap and Simpsons fame) on NPR a while back. He said that he would use trivia questions like that on his radio show - 'Le Show' to gauge if anyone was listening.
