tommyboy1587
My friend wants to buy a big screen. I need references to the right size tv for her living room. Are there any charts or graphs, or websites with this info. they just moved in, and don't know how theyr'e going to set up their living room, so I dont' know how far she'll be sitting away. she just wants a reference. Thanks
TNRabbit
The generally accepted standard is @ 2.5 times the screen size away from the TV. She needs to go test drive and see what is comfortable within the confines of her room FOR HER.
Arky
I agree it's a personal choice.
Moderators dtel Posted February 1, 2007 Moderators Share Posted February 1, 2007 Just Google what you used as topic of this thread. There are a few different charts out there but they all do about the same thing. I think they all use the distance you would sit from the screen just looked it up the other day for a friend and he sat 9' to 10' away and it said 42" to 50" for a plasma, if i remember correctly.
