bluesboy
I was wondering if anybody has seen plans for a horn enclosure using a single full range driver?
Erik Mandaville
Sure. You might find some of the following links helpful: http://melhuish.org/audio/links.html Related to the above: http://fullrangedriver.com/ Fostex full-range kit w/super tweeter: http://www.madisound.com/bk16.html Lowther-America. DizRotus
The thread linked below deals with just such a project. The thread contains photos and additional links. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Single Driver Rear Horn Experiments http://forums.klipsch.com/forums/thread/548426.aspx As the thread indicates, I was much more impressed than I expected to be. The imaging (no crossover) from the Fostex designed enclosures with the Radio Shack drivers is amazing. For jazz ensembles at reasonable decibels they are great. colterphoto1
Neil, did you ever sell that lot of 4" full range drivers you had listed a while back?
DizRotus
No Michael. They're still available. No takers even at the cost of shipping alone.
Spongeworthy
I just picked up a pair of 8" Fostex FE 208 SE drivers. I want to experiment with a back loaded enclsure. I have heard a couple single driver designs that can sound awesome in the right sized room.

I think the way to go would be the FE 206 E which goes from 39 Hz to 20kHz with sesitivity of 96dB at 1w/1m. Plus it only costs 88 bucks.
