Buzz
Just picked up a set. Currently running them off a Yamaha HTR-5960. Looking to move into seperates for improved sound quality through the pre-outs. Couple options i'm looking at. 1. Outlaw Audio Model 2200 B-Block Amplifer 2. Rotel RB-1050 or RB-1070 Power Amplifer 3. Onix SP3 Tube Integrated Amplifier 4. NAD C352 Anyone have experience with any of these on the RF-7s? jt1stcav
Unfortunantly, I have zero experience with your choice of amps. But from my own experience with both Klipsch Heritage and Reference models, any SS or tube amplifier (stereo or monoblocks) of high quality will do your RF-7s justice. I'm sure your choices would be fine.
Arky
I haven't used any of those 4. However I do have an Outlaw 7500 & it is quite nice. Never see any negative comments about it but I have read a few concerning the 2200. You might check the Outlaw Saloon.
TheEAR
Rotel would be my choice, plenty of power and smooth power. The RF7's need an amp that can take cotrol. As for sound quality, you would probably be very pelased by the Onyx as tube amps are so smooth. And most people prefer smoother than smooth response compared to the more in your face combination of solid state and horns. arthurs
I'd take a look at these as well. gary warrants his product for life, whoever owns it. They are super smooth and can drive RF-7's easily.... http://cls.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cls.pl?ampstube&1179536707
