Kain
I might be getting some nice cash coming my way soon and was wondering which part of my system I should upgrade. I came down to two options: 1. Sell my A/V receiver and buy separates. Was thinking Rotel RMB-1095 + Rotel RSP-1068. 2. Keep my existing A/V receiver and buy a subwoofer...a JL Audio Fathom f113! I don't want to upgrade my TV and DVD player just yet. Want to see how this HD-DVD vs. Blu-ray war turns out first.
Guest " "
My vote is ad a decent sub-woofer. There are plenty that list for 700 and can be bought on sale for 300. Some folks spend a lot in the sub area....1000 and up...my JBL120SW only cost me 269. It cranks out 400 watts. Your reciever is still a keeper for quite some time. If you go the seperates route...now were talking decent cables and other noise consideration concepts due to the additional connection points and opportunities for adding noise. Kain
How much does the complete RF-83 package cost without the subwoofers? I'm talking RF-83 + RC-64 + RS-62.
Arky
That's not an upgrade, imo. If you're looking for better multi-channel music sound, I would add a pair of rf-7's to the rear.
Kain
My room is only about 14 x 11 and I no room for another pair of RF-7s.

Spkrdctr
I say get a decent sub. You will see what you have been missing. I would recommend spending around $800 to 1000 for a decent sub. Check the Subwoofer thread and you can get some good advice on what is the best sub for $800 or so.....
