lakedmb
Does a damaged dust cap effect the sound in any way? Is there a way to replace them if it does hurt the sound? Thanks guys.
Daddy Dee
Good news: no impact on the sound. They can be replaced, also. But before doing that, gentle attempts to pull out might work.

ScottF
If the cap is pushed in, I've had success getting one back out using adhesive box tape. Make contact, gently pull, do it several times, not too hard and it will come out with a bunch of attempts. Slow and steady progress is key...looks almost as good as new. ScottF
Hmmm...the vacuum fix from the thread seems like a good idea...
Canadian_Dude
I was just gonna suggest to use a vacuum! My dad who has been doing car audio for like 30 years told me when i was like 8 and I had never actually tried it. I thought there was no way it would work but I guess it does. I am glad to finally know.

djk
Makes no difference on a PR, can make a big difference in the midrange on two-way designs with 6-1/2" or 8" woofers.
