willland
I think I have it set correctly. I have 3 RVX-42 for LCR and 2 RSX-4 for surrounds. The bottom of the range for this setup is 92Hz. I have an older Onkyo receiver (HT-R500) with bass management settings of 80 100 120HZ with the setting @120HZ and set to small. RW-10d set @ a 100Hz (w/95 Hz an option or is that too close to the bottom) crossover, therefore letting the sub perform the bass managment. Is it better to let the receiver do the crossover? If so please offer some recommendations. I will have to say in my opinion that the system sounds great but I am only a novice. Thanks for this forum, I have learned a lot. wuzzzer
Turn the crossover on the sub as high as it goes, let the receiver handle that. You definitely don't want 80Hz if the low end of your mains is 92Hz. I would just toggle back and forth between 100 and 120 and see what you like best. willland
With that advice followed, should I do the same with the volume controls(sub set to max and let receiver control that also)? Thanks
