bigTbarker
Okay long time reader first time EVER to post a message Is the K53Ti mid in the Cornwall III a suitable replacement for theK57 med in a Cornwall II . Would it perform on the 86 and up CornwallII xover with no noticeable deference.
STL
While I'm not a Klipsch employee (and therefore not an expert) I'm still fairly sure the answer is No and No.
bigTbarker
Okay and Okay. That is what I am thinking ,but the hope is just maybe we are wrong. But most likely we are right
djk
I think BEC sells the Ti replacement diaphragms for the 1-1/2" Klipsch mid drivers.
STL
I think BEC sells the Ti replacement diaphragms for the 1-1/2" Klipsch mid drivers.I'd be interested in those -- as long as they aren't too pricey. I noticed today (on eBay) that he had a Ti dome for the K-79-K horn tweeter, but I didn't realize he had one for the mid.

"Close" is difficult to quantify on these things. Most of the year it took to get the last diaphragm made, I thought it was close. STL
I hear you Bob! I've been close to just starting my Klipsch-Cerwin Vega project for years now. [] Maybe I'll actually get started on it before this time next year.

I guess that isn't too bad, but it's still a little risky since I'm not sure they will physically fit even or how well they will even work. djk
Others at the forum have used them in the Forte and been pleased.
colterphoto1
You'd have to revoice the crossover network. It is NOT considered a replacment or even an upgrade. There would more than likely be quite a difference.
