jerohm Posted October 11, 2007 Share Posted October 11, 2007 The forte II woofer is notorious for having the glue holding the pole vent screen breaking off and bouncing around underneath the dustcap... and I have seen this problem at least a half a dozen times, but no other problems really. I suppose the debris COULD get lodged around the voice coil and manifest itself with other symptoms. You may want to remove the woofer ... probably easiest if you remove the drone FIRST. Shake the woofer a see if you can un-lodge any debris and hear it bouncing around. (If THIS IS your problem, the woofer should sound normal when positioned towards the ceiling.)
