Historians--What kind of corner-horn is this?

This piece is advertised as a Klipschorn, but the midrange is an 8-inch cone driver loaded into the back of the oddly-shaped top hat.

Anybody know what this is? Perhaps a home-built top-hat on a Khorn bass bin?

Here's a look at the back. Sorry about the shortage of info, the owner sent me the link to the photos. I have not seen the cabinet in person.

I'm thinking the top is not a Klipsch product, but maybe the bottom is?

The bottom sure looks like a K-horn, and the top hat looks like a Lowther or Tannoy shaped box....however, the 8 inch direct radiator is puzzling me too. My SWAG is that this is a K-horn bottom with a homemade top end, looks to be from the 50s. If you can get more info, the serial number off the bass horn, that will be a further clue.

yeh. I think you've got it right. It looks like a Khorn bass bin with something curious on top.

Yup, it could be an EV MF horn, however, the Patricians I've seen all had doors, maybe faux doors, on the fron of the bass bin.
