seti
I received the package today [] The tubes were warm when the package arrived and I went straight for the Rockabilly. My girlfriend and I love that CD. It is a genre that I am very ignorant of and very interested in. I think we played it three times last nigh and I'll be checking out some of the other stuff. Who did the Ruby song? I would like to purchase some of his work. [H] THANK YOU [H]
thebes
Glad to hear it arrived. Second time is the charm. Rock N' Roll Ruby is by Warren Smith. For those looking at this and going Huh? I recently reciprocated his generosity in sharing some very interesting music with a batch of music for Seti. He's very much into the origins and roots of music so I passed along a bunch of stuff that I had on cd that I thought reflected his interests and is not readily available. Here's a link to the cd he was talking about: http://www.amazon.com/Memphis-Rocks-Rockabilly-1954-1968/dp/B0000017SLYou ever get into lps and I can send you stuff that is really obscure. I'll be interested in your take on The Royal Counts because I consider them a pure version of boo-*** (no instrumentation).
seti
The CDs are a big hit so far but The Royal Counts is in my girlfriends car and I am having trouble getting it into the house. Perhaps a hostage exchange is in order. Thanks for copying the Beatles and sending me a copy. I think that is one of the better compilations I have made.
