Clipped and Shorn
Here are the new grommets for the upgrade and also I sawed off the protuding spindle. Was that wrong?
Clipped and Shorn
I carefully removed the dried out or missing old ones and replaced with the new grommets. Here is the finished rim drive motor. Note the fact that I have the 8rpm speed. How many here can say that. This is a very special turntable and I am excited to get it going. Clipped and Shorn
At last, here is the finished turntable ready for use. It will serve my very special purposes perfectly. I will never change. Ever.
Clipped and Shorn
Of course, at the office I use the Audiotronics 304VT with the upgraded Motorola arm, which some of you saw who were at the get together at Bob Lee's awhile back. Clipped and Shorn
I guess strictly speaking that would be 8 1/3 rpm. Ah yes, 115 volts....them were the good old days...... this turntable will be a miniscule faster than 8 1/3 rpm with today's voltages.... Mallette
I'll give you 5k for it. What a classic, and a great rebuild. I am working on a Wollensack RR rebuild. Those were the days... Dave
oldenough
.Cool..I noticed the "Bi Directional Sound" printed on the 304vt.......is that just a fancy way of sayin' "stereo"?
fini
Cool..I noticed the "Bi Directional Sound" printed on the 304vt.......is that just a fancy way of sayin' "stereo"? It was specially designed to play big band records from the Swing (Both Ways) Era. Many people were insulated from those conductors, which is not shocking when you think about it.
