samson
Can I do this or is it gonna sound like garbage? Let me add that I can get the 64 for 300.!
InVeNtOr
i don't think it would matter. people have been pairing the rc-64 with rf-7's. i think there is a few on here with rf-7's and the 64. if you want a rc-7 i have an extra one, it's cherry. Rich_Guy
The RC-7 is a perfect match for the RF-5's, this is what I have and they are absolutely perfect together.
samson
I picked up the RC-64 anyway, for $300 you can't beat that. The guy had the box and all paperwork, it was too big for his rack, but fit great into mine. I watched 2 movies today and it sounded great, but if I can find an RC-7 you can never have too much equipment!
Moderators Youthman Posted July 5, 2008 Moderators Share Posted July 5, 2008 I picked up the RC-64 anyway, for $300 you can't beat that. Wow! Nice find. Cool lint brush on the Klipsch speaker. Adds a nice touch. [] Sweet setup you have there. Just one suggestion. Have you considered switching your center channel with the components? I would think that having the RC-64 on the floor wouldn't sound that great unless it was angled up towards the listening area quite a bit. I know with my RC-7, When I angled it downward towards my listening area, it made a world of a difference.
samson
It wouldn't fit on the top shelf, which was a major dissapointment, but I'm moving soon and there are plenty of racks I've been eyeing! That lint brush was a gift from the prime minister of Malaysia.

InVeNtOr
stupid question, but is the center too tall? if so, have you tried turning the glass shelf up side down? that way you gain that extra inches the feet take away....just a thought.... i don't see a sig, so what size and type of tv do you have? samson
The tv is a samsung 56in DLP 1080p, and yes it's too tall. The shelf can't be turned either. Who knew I'd be getting a 61lb center channel!
InVeNtOr
the tv looks like a good size. i am planning on getting a 50" plasma and i hope it works well in the room.

samson
Not as bad as I thought. Amazon has it for a little over $400.
Moderators Youthman Posted July 5, 2008 Moderators Share Posted July 5, 2008 Yeah, I just looked at the file name of the jpg image and searched for that model online. Amazon was the cheapest I found. Most other sources are wanting $500 - $600.
