Nemesis
Hooray the 4.1's are out (BUT!!!) does anyone have any idea when these things may be avalible in the UK? Paragon you think you have been waiting for a long time, me too and i dont even have the possibility of getting a set of these things yet, at least if you couldn't bare the stress of waiting you could have splashed out on the original ones, I dont think I can wait much longer. My existing speakers have been slowly working themselves into scratchy poppy tinny music oblivion for ages and they need replacing SOON! and i would like to replace them with a shiny new set of 4.1's but to restate my original question: WHEN ARE THE 4.1's GOING TO BE AVALIBLE IN THE UK (230v 50Hz) MODEL??????????? Also, even if we could get a set in the UK, what about the stands/brackets for the rear speakers? Anyone who knows anything - email me please!!! **I can't wait to get rid of these crappy Yamaha's...**
Paragon
You should be able to find the stands for them somewhere.

fawwaz
Textc> Well Nemsis you dont need to wait you can buy these speakers from U.S ,and then use a transformer of 110 to 220 V Simple!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Moderators Amy Posted February 27, 2001 Moderators Share Posted February 27, 2001 If you are able to find someone who will ship them to you, make sure any converter you get is rated for 500W. --Amy
elf
I've just email Soundcity.com and they say that they WILL ship to the UK. (Although he did say it'd be "expensive", but didn't say how much - I've emailed him back to see ) I'll post here when I know. Also - are you sure I need a step-down transformer that supplies 500W?? Thats a hell of a lot for speakers!!!
janko10
the 4.1's are rated at 400w RMS man, i would go with 500w like amy sez just to be on the safe side. J
Paragon
I thought the AMP is actually rated to pull 5 Amps which is equal to 600W ------------------ All Your Base Are Belong To Us ------------------------------------- 1GHz TBird Abit KT7A-RAID FOP38 & CuShim Kingmax 256MB PC150 Annihilator2 32MB GTS Intel Pro100+Management NIC Promise Ultra100 IBM 75GXP 45GB ATA100 & Maxtor DMP6800 27.2GB ATA66 Plextor 16X10X40A Sony 12X DVD SBLive! 5.1 AOpen HX08 Full Tower 300W Sony CPD-G400 19" Triny Pro 4.1 are comin!!!!!!!! Gxcad
I thought it had 600W also, which explains why a quintet setup is theoretically possible (quintets 100wRMSx4 + 160W sub = 560W) If the quintets setup really works I might opt for it but I like everyone else has no definate results to rely on although I remember a long time ago someone claimed they tried it and it wasn't all that fantastic... On another note, is there any difference in the sub between the 4.1's and the v2 400?thanks, -Gxcadc>
Moderators Amy Posted February 27, 2001 Moderators Share Posted February 27, 2001 500W converter is sufficient. The v2-400 and the 4.1 sub are identical. --Amy
Paragon
I think what it is is that it has the capability to pull 600W but only really pulls around 400W so go with what Amy says All Hail Amy!! ------------------ All Your Base Are Belong To Us ------------------------------------- 1GHz TBird Abit KT7A-RAID FOP38 & CuShim Kingmax 256MB PC150 Annihilator2 32MB GTS Intel Pro100+Management NIC Promise Ultra100 IBM 75GXP 45GB ATA100 & Maxtor DMP6800 27.2GB ATA66 Plextor 16X10X40A Sony 12X DVD SBLive! 5.1 AOpen HX08 Full Tower 300W Sony CPD-G400 19" Triny Pro 4.1 are comin!!!!!!!!
