TheEAR
Here are the four QSC PLX2 amps, four more will join. With these plus two PowerLight PL380 I will have ten QSC "lightweight" amps powering all TC Sounds/AudioPulse made drivers. Great amps for the price, for sub duty they kick bottom. tigerwoodKhorns
Ear, I will be listing my Bryston 7B ST's on Audiogon in the next few weeks. Any interest in them for your subs? They are the most accurate amps that I have ever heard. I can see why they are used for subs in high end systems. tight tight tight. Anyway, drop me an email if interested. TheEAR
tigerwoodKhorns, Thank you for the offer, but I have a Bryston 4B and do not use it for sub duty. I have three SimAudio Celeste amps sitting here doing not much so more audiphile amps sitting herewould be a waste in my case. I only use pro amps for sub duty, a QSC PLX2 3602 cam more than match a 7B driving @ 4Ohms load. And a PL380 (3000W per channel into 4Ohms,bridged close to 8KW!) just about matches the most capable monster audiophile amps(like the Krell FPB600 and company). These ampos weigh only 22lbs but they deliver like classic class A/B 150lbs units. tigerwoodKhorns
I figured as much. Kind of a waste fo these amps for sub duty, but I see them used in some high end installs for subs.
darkside
Ear, that's quite a pile of stuff you got there, but I must admit, as cool as that looks, I consider myself a Crown guy all the way...still, I can't imagine what your electricity bill would be if you ran all those at once! TheEAR
Crown loses to QSC in the mid priced range. As QSC has the PLX2 and RMX series both very good, and getting closer to spec than Crown's XTi and XLS. Where Crown shines is at the upper end, with Crown's MacroTech and iTech. Here QSC has the PowerLight(beefed up PLX2). The MacroTech reputation is set in stone, all around beasts.
darkside
I don't at all doubt what you say about the PLX and RMX amps, but it's just personal preference for me.
