John Brunner
My sub no longer seems to turn on/off automatically so I have to leave on 24/7. So far no problemos. Does anyone see future problems or how about a fix on the auto without having to pack it up and ship it in. Thanks,
Porsche
Have you tried replacing the fuse? As well, I'd hook up the power cord to a reliable power bar, and turn it on and off that way. It should still be under warranty (5 years from purchase I believe). I'd get it fixed. Could be a foreshadowing of electronic nightmares to come with your KSW. TheEAR
Does your sub stay ON all the time when its on AUTO? If yes this could be caused by interferance or the auto ON does not working properly.Maybe the cables are thin and act like an antena.Close to any BIG power lines? If it does not turn itself ON when signal gets in I would contact the store of purchase and have the sub fixed...unless you dont care about the AUTO ON feature. John0392
I received this sub online a couple of years ago and quite frankly I don't want to go thru the hassel of packing it up. The place I received it from was probably not an authorized dealer of Klipsch. I do keep it on 24/7 and have been for months with no problemos yet. I might opt to just switching on/off in the rear
turbo
I have a KSW200 that has that problem once in a while. I'm guessing your using the high-pass, meaning your hooked up Amp => sub => left and right speakers. Check this out...with it on Auto, and off, push lightly on on of your Left or Right channel speakers cones. I'm assuming you know what you can't touch on those. On mine I can trigger the sub to go 'on', and think that moving the cones actually produces some electrical juice which turns on the sub. I have forced air HVAC and I think the air pressure moves the cones and turns on the sub.
