IndyKlipschFan
She might enjoy the "Three Amigas"drink of choice too! LOL Some wives bring the kids and do their own thing. Indy is an incredible city, we have one, if not the biggest childrens museum in the USA. There are places to shop too. (My wife will have a Klipsch ladies sale at her woman's clothing store La Clothiere we own together I am sure...LOL) Some wives without kids hang out some with the hubbies and come and go too. I am always pleasantly surprised when the women "get it" and finally understand this mostly guys hobby and enjoy themselves. Friday we will do a welcome party at my house with food like pizzaor things on the grill.... I do demos of various systems indoors nout.. I have a big HT. People hang out, drink, have fun, and watchmovies at my place usually friday night till late... It is verycasual, and fun at the same time. Michael will do something like a clinic and blow out sessionwith various systems Saturday. I hope a bonfire with tunes will happenat his place this year Sat night..HINT! Slighty edited from 2008 so far.... "Indy Fest 09" Unoffical for now, weekend! Welcome to all Klipsch Fans and Employees (+ sig others) especially those first timers. Friday Night in June...?? (At Rogers) Arrival time: Any time, after 6 PM at Roger n Cindy for a Party/ Open house. We will have Music and Theater demos, food and drinks. You can just hang out with friends... We'llthrow ideas together for dinner. Cindy and I are thinkingPizza and cold drinks, but were pretty flexible, and If weatherpermits, you can grill out on the deck if you prefer to bringsomething too? If you want something "stronger" to drink, BYOB. Before, during, and after dinner we'll watch moves, concert videos andlisten to music till late. Enjoy yourself and relax!! Saturday June..?(At Michaels) All day and late night events at Micheals, your on your own. It starts @ ?? Ends ???.. Dinner break, and more madness I am sure. Sunday June ?? Arrival time for drop-ins: Any time after 12 Noon until 4 PM, the same at Michaels. Overnightguests get homemade Bloody Mary’s. Just kidding! Maybe we'll go out forbreakfast someplace nearby before noon at 10:30 AM. We have a localplace that they are almost like family to us, it is good and reasonabletoo. (4 min away.) Ithink Colterphoto1 and I will have Sunday afternoon open to whoever wants togo to either place. Michael at "Rodies " the official "Colter compound" will be open for demos and fun....so thiswill be decided later. Background: In the year 2007 while the Klipsch Pilgrimage took place here inIndianapolis, Cindy and I hosted a weekend openhouse for some fellow Klipsch forum members to come over. And a LOT of peopel showed up we had a blast so I thought let's do it agin! I had just"almost" finished the dedicated HT, and we had an absolute blast! As early as Wednesday and Thursday, but especially on Friday, Saturdayand Sunday we had various friends from the forum over. While we didn'tsleep much, we had a lot of fun! We also had forum members (Picky andVerna) and earlier Dtel and his clan... over to spend part of the week/ weeknd with usovernight. Cindy and I have already discussed this year's Klipschweekend and I asked her if she minded if we do that again and she saidthatsounded great! We decided that one "planned" night, might bebetter for us, so Cindy and I hope to see you here, as it wasso much fun last year! New and Old friends always welcome! We do this, as a "labor of love for things Klipsch." Because Klipsch has not chosen to do a Pilgrimage this year in 2009 Michael and I still wanted a get together for the friendships we find on the forums. THIS event is NOT in any way to show off... It is to share with like minded people (Klipsch fans) the great sounds this speaker company makes in various configurations. People bring Mods... I am sure at Micheals we can test, or play what you bring too? Think plug n play? Some people hook up to trade gear, some to see and hear things they never have before. Especially BIG Klipsch at Michaels!! Roger & Cindy (IndyKlipschFan)
colterphoto1
Roger, lets start a new thread with new name (it's not a 'pilgrimage' if we don't get to visit the holy land). We'll post the official date (no whining, you all had a chance), and itinerary. Stop by today and we'll chat, mmmk? Michael
