SilverSport Posted November 7, 2008 Share Posted November 7, 2008 Okay...looked at the decoder and believe I have this right but asking for the experts to confirm...I have new to me Klipsch KG 5.5s...serial number on back is 0277935XX...I take this to mean 27th day of 1997...KG 5.5s were made through 1997 and mine are Black Vinyl finish (Klipsch went from Black painted Oak to Black Vinyl at the end of production)...does this sound right??? Speakers sound great and improved significantly (IMO) by the addition of Bob Crites Titanium diaphragms...smoother and clearer highs...these won't be upsetting my Heritage speakers (Klipschorns or Quartets) but they sound very nice with BIG bass...
