hansolo2
Looking at buying the following subwoofer. But unsure which model it is. Can anyone identify the Klipsch model number from the attached photo's? Looks like there are only Front and Rear inputs, and a preamp input. It is also supposed to be a BASH subwoofer. Does this help?
eq_shadimar
It looks like a subwoofer from the ProMedia 4.1 computer speaker series. I think that it would be difficult to make it work with another type of system unless you get the preamp module. M6 Driver
as said above belongs to the Pro Media's hence what application would you be using it for? after all picking out a sub isn't like dusting crops or how ever Han said it. ------------------ "FULLY LOADED" J
LNEtubaPLYR
Could you use that with any thing but the promedia's. is this is one with the dual woffers or the single. i have a set with the dual 8's but at my local best buy they only come with one.....?? Seb
first off, you should probably be posting this in the Promedia section of the bulletin board. secondly, this comes from the Promedia v2.400 system, not the 4.1 as you can easily see from the pictures, there are TWO drivers on this sub. the promedia sub that only comes with one is the Promedia 2.1 sub. since the amp, xover, etc, are all integrated in that box, it wouldn't give very good results to use this sub with other speakers than the promedia satellites, plus you couldn't control the volume, bass, and so on since you're missing the preamp module, as eq_shadimar mentioned. LNEtubaPLYR
I have pondered on the subject of what the promedia's would sound like in a home theater set up. probably not good im assuming? are the drivers in the promedia's the same as in the quintet systems. They look quite the same...
BigBusa
Becareful that thing probably doesn't work. Why would someone sell a single piece of a component system?
LNEtubaPLYR
that is exactly what i was thinking. it wasn't possible to buy just the sub was it? where'd the surrounds go?
QUiKSR20
While they do look almost identical ( promedias and Quintets the Q's look to have a beefier woofer and definatley a beefier base which can be used as a wall mount as well. Much beefier terminals too. I wouldnt suggest them for home theatre im sure you could figure it out but there mostly for Game systems or PC. Your best bet would be to buy the Quintet micro theatre from ebay or something like that if you dont have alot to spend on it.. Hope this helps... ------------------ Thanks, Daryl Gregg MY Home Theatre Page Sony STR-DE975 HT Reciever Sony DVP-NS400D DVD SB-3 Mains SC-1 Center Quintet Rears KSW-12 Sub AR Proseries Interconects
