I find the SET thing a bit boring Not much Base -
We call those "concrete blocks" or "cinder blocks" because some are still made with bottom ash from coal burning plants. They are commonly used for exterior walls below ground and earth retaining walls. Also used for exterior house walls in coastal areas in the Deep South. Â

They aren't small speakers by any standard but I would still put them in the "punch way above their weight" category!!

I see the Fortes as the Goldilocks model, the perfect Klipsch product for the most people. Great sound, great looks and they are far less room restrictive than other heritage models (LaScala, Khorn and Cornwall).

I know it's not on your list, but I just refinished a set of quartets if you're interested in the baby of the family. It has the Crites upgraded crossovers and Ti tweeters, upgraded 10" woofers, cabinet bracing between the woofer and mid, and I refinished the cabinet in a beautiful color that I've done on several other speakers showcased in the forum. I just thought I would throw it out there as an option. -
