  1. I call BS...I know for a fact that they have a minimum advertised price ($499.00 each) that they have to follow, and can not go below! So, authorized...probably not! But hey, a good price is what matters...till you need service. ---------------- On 7/2/2003 12:47:26 PM NormanB wrote: Antagon, I got my 35's from my local authorized Klipsch dealer. ----------------

I plan on using the Denon 3803 with the Reference 7 speaker set up (RF7s, RC7 and RS7s). I plan on a future addition of a pair of the IC5 ceiling speakers for the rear surrounds. What would be the ideal way of hooking up a SACD with the above speakers and placement of them? The RS7s will be to the sides of the listening position, up near the cieling, and the IC5s will go half way between the couch and the back wall. Will I have to switch the speaker connections on the back of the receiver each time I want to listen to a SACD and a Dolby Digital EX DVD? ---------------- The IC 6T's have a bypass for 8ohm, but they don't sound as good that way. They are designed for 70volt usage. Go with the 8ohm reference architechtural in ceiling/wall IMO. Plus they have the cool copper woffers as well...leave the grills off and impress the neighbors. Good Luck!

I've been to Ultimate Electronics and they were barely a step above Best Buy as far as service and knowledge went. It's really kind of sad. Like one poster said, I've always taken some smug pride in knowing that I had a system that was not well known but in many cases vastly superior. Kind of like being part of a private club. Business is business so I understand that Klipsch has to do what they think is necessary. But if it gets too hard for me to track down a dealer who knows Klipsch and can help me with my purchases, then maybe it's time for me to switch. Maybe this tells me that I didn't belong in the private club in the first place. ---------------- You ask Klipsch to be loyal, and you yourself are being unloyal to Klipsch. In the end your ears grade the test papers, and yet you are willing to make a compromise (switch), just for "private club" satisfaction. So what I hear from you is that you buy (listen) for pride and satisfaction purposes, not sheer enjoyment. I do enjoy the fact that Klipsch isn't a "mass" product but when it comes time for me, and wife to enjoy our latest DVD I could care less. My setup sounds good to me, and that's what counts. I am sure Klipsch will make business desicions with all of the "Klipsch lovers" in mind. Give them some credit, and stop accusing the unknown. "In it for "Best in class" sound!!!

P.S: Since you deserve a cookie for swearing a lot I've actually attached one for you. But anyways according to the "That's gay and you're stupid theory", that really is gay and you arent stupid. ---------------- This a clasic high school student...gotta love it.
  5. You poor soul....my first known non Klipsch lover, there is a HELL! Get what suits your ears...no pun intended. Go to school...get a sweet JOB when your done, and then focus on this money swallowing hobbie.
  6. This is slightly off the subject...but speaking of THX...I have a contact at Klipsch that is going to get me THX Demo Audio/Video DVD. I guess it's what THX uses to demonstrate THX certified equipment. When I get I'll make a post, and anyone who wants one can let me know...that is if I can copy it.
  7. Well I thank god for those systems! If it wasn't for those affordable systems I might have never got into HT...or into it as early as I had. My first and ONLY HTIB was a Phillips/Mag MX900 system...45 watts to the fronts, and center, 22.5 (lol) to rears, with a 50 watt powered sub, and a standard Dolby Prologic reciever. Not too bad for $200 bucks! I got it at sears, as an open box item. I only wish it had been the Quintet system instead, but this was 8 years ago! Nothing much, but we all have to start somewhere. Now I have a ROCKIN system, that only Lance Jones (moderators will know who he is) could demolish! Kidding! But, as you can see...I have come light years in HT technology! And like everyone else here...I can't get enough, and always want more. Props to HTIB!
  8. What's everyone's feelings about Aragon seperates? I am actually looking to get the 2005 Amplifier, and the Stage One processor....$$big$$bucks$$...any opinions to share?
  9. I've got the full 35 series system from front to back ,and I won't make you wait. I've had them for a lil while too! All I can say is that they ROCK!! If anyone is holding out on buying either the 3 II's or the 35's...I can say from experience that the 35's are a sure step up! The midrange is the best benifit in this new super star...IMO...much better than the previous version, and the bass has added a db or two a well! Not to mention the new look...very refreshing! A fine enhancement to the Reference series!
  10. What did Muzak make? I don't know what you mean but my surgery was just a pull together of the shattered fragments of my arm bone. They put my shoulder back in socket and put the bone back in place with screws and then had to staple me up. I wear a sling for 21 days and actually this week I feel a ton better. Fortunately for me, I don't think my injury was as bad as yours because my doctor said that I am healing up well and I have decent mobility now. Thanks for asking, I appreciate it. I hope you get well too! Not long ago I got my complete 35 series in and hooked up. I think I am one of the first people to hear and own the new 35 series and I tell you what...BAD ***! A definite upgrade needed by any former 3 series owner. You can see by my signature the setup I have. I plan to upgrade my receiver in the next 6 to 9 months so I am looking for some suggestions. Maximum spending limit $1200.00. Thanks for all your advice,
  11. I see...so the woofer(radiator) acts as the port in a way, but instead of allowing the air(energy) to just die the radiator continues to move it, and allow the lower frequencies to be produced? If that is right, why not just have a long port instead?
  12. So basically it's an additional subwoofer, or a dual sub enclosure with one sub accenting the other?
  13. So I am new to Klipsch, (first owned system: Jan 03 ) but not to HT. Now I admit that I am not the most knowledgeable person on this subject (I'm asking the question aren't I...or atleast getting to it?) I used to think that Bo$e was a kickn' system, and my actual dream system for while was the Lifestyle 50. Anyways, after I heard the first note played by the Commercial Audio Series/Installed Products/IN-CEILING IC-6T speaker I was hooked. I am an Account Executive for Muzak (Hence the name: Muzak + Klipsch) Muzak is the exclusive commercial retailer for Klipsch. Mainly, we are their key ingredient to working with companies like Red Lobster, McDonalds, Harley Davidson, etc. That's Muzak's core business, and we've been doing it for 70 years. Goto: www.muzak.com for more info on this legend in sound. Anyways...to my question.... Passive radiator, rear firing woofer? What's the concept, how does it work, so on and so forth? If you have any additional questions that you want ask about Muzak, I will be happy to answer them. NOTE: I recently dislocated/broke my shoulder "OUCH!", and also had major surgery on it . I have one hand to type with (It took me atleast 45 mins for all this) If you really want a good answer say so, and give me a day or two! I appreciate the knowledge that you all bring to the table, and look forward to your insight on this question.
