  1. How about ... Dalandown? ok sorry.
  2. But that would not prevent events like this from happening in the future.
  3. I'm not sure I understand what you are saying.
  4. Amy, this guy has come back more than once. He probably has a dynamic ip address so banning won't help. If no legal action can be taken, perhaps it would be good to look into other ways to prevent something like this from happening again. For example, require pictures to be approved before than can be posted.
  5. Unfortunately, banning IPs will not always help since many people have dynamic IPs. A more effective way, that isn't quite as extreme as closing registration, would be requiring all pictures and urls to be approved by mods before being posted. Not sure if this is possible, but it would definately help I think.
  6. Heh, I'm surprised there aren't more people going crazy about this. Over at www.hardforums.com they're were going nuts claiming how Bush is on a mission to destroy the world. I think it's becuase they're a bunch of kids over there, and they're easily influenced.
  7. I have a santa cruz. It's a pretty good card, but not the best. Audigy 2 zs and the revo are probably better.
  8. Now, that's how you "take it to the hole."
  9. "Go for creative since u likes them. don't waste everyone's time here." Man you must be blind. He said he's also considering the Klipsch Ultras. LOL, you guys are too funny.
  10. HEY I PROBABLY SHOULDN'T TELL YOU THIS BUT I WORK AT COMPUSA AND THE EMPLOYEE COST ON THE HSU STF2 IS $180. =0 I REALLY WANT TO BUY ONE. I KNOW WE HAVE ONE IN STOCK BUT I CAN'T FIND THE DAMN THING. I THINK SOMEBODY HID IT SOMEWHERE.
  11. Hey Ears, what do you think about the HSU STF-2? Supposedly it's like the VTF-2 but with the low extension mode only. It retails at CompUSA for $349 but employee cost is $180.
  12. Considering that outdoors does not involve any distinguishing factors, such as the difference in room size and room harmonics, wouldn't testing outdoors be the most objective and accurate way of testing a subwoofer?
  13. Don't listen to him! Those speakers suck! Send them to me immediately!!!
  14. So, you're saying that coating the drivers with mod modge has the same effect as filling the enclousure with polyfill?
  15. I don't think the polyfill really made it louder or lower, but I think the mod podge did slightly.
  16. Sorry, I didn't take any measurements, but I'd guess that it's around 2-3 db louder. Not a whole lot but it also sounds less boomy.
  17. Well, I thought I'd post in this thread since I have done the polyfill mod on my Klipsch 5.1 sub. I also coated the drivers with mod podge. I purchased the 5.1s from the CompUSA where I work. They were the floor model and I got them for $150. They'd been on display for a couple years I think, so I'm sure they would have crapped out by now if they had the defective amp. Plus I have a full replacement warranty on them, so if they do die on me I'll just get the Megaworks 550s or the Klipsch Ultras if we get them. Anyhow I opened up the sub by taking out the screws in the back and put about an inch of polyfill on all the interior walls of the sub with glue. I made sure not to block the port. Combined with the mod podge, my sub now sounds slightly deeper, stronger, and tighter. Of course, it's no Velodyne, but it is noticably better. The only thing I'd like to do now, is find a way to reduce the port noise at high volumes. Overall, I'm glad I did these mods. It's up to you, though if you want to take the risk. I've been using my modded sub for about a month now in 80 degree wheather with no problems whatsoever.
